STEPHEN KOELSCH
The Cold Wick, by Stephen Koelsch.

The Cold Wick,
Stephen Koelsch.
ISBN 1 41207 147-x

Stir up your mind with the latest book of adult poetry from Stephen Koelsch, The Cold Wick ... you will find some piece of yourself on every page.
In this, his second book, Stephen continues to display his unique conceptual gifts in the creation of memorable imagery and metaphor, across a wide variety of topics. If you are one of those people who is willing to pry into your own dark spaces, then these poems will be pearls that you will enjoy discovering. The poems in this collection are honest, direct and adult. Most importantly, they are accessible, and offer evocative insights into the complexities of living that all adults experience.
In addition to being a poet, the author is also a sculptor and a visual artist. The front and back cover art was created by him as clay monoprints. Clay monoprints are created by inlaying clay slip into a clay slab, through a variety of techniques. Controlling moisture and pressure, the image is then printed onto a material called Reemay. The results are very bright colorful monoprints that many people initially mistake for oil paintings.
