| The
vision
of
Bird
Dog
is
to
use
the
new
digital
printing-on-demand
processes
to
publish
deserving
books
in
small
affordable
runs.
Many
times,
we
just
cant
afford
to
print
800
or
1000
copies,
explains
Larry
Smith,
director.
But
with
print-on-demand
services
we
can
print
as
few
as
10
as
many
as
200
copies
at
a
time.
This
allows
us
to
do
more
books
with
less
risk.
Costs
are
shared
between
the
author
and
publisher,
and
the
books
are
promoted
and
marketed
alongside
of
Bottom
Dog
Press
titles.
The
focus
is
Midwest
literature
of
persons
and
place
.
poetry,
memoir,
short
fiction. |
